Moortown Golf Club
Moortown Golf Club has a deserved reputation as one of finest Championship Golf courses in the country. Designed by Dr. Alister MacKenzie, Moortown is set in 175 acres mainly consisting of level woodland and moorland. There are many fine holes to enjoy, including the 6th, rated the most difficult of the course. The Club's signature hole is the par 3 10th, with it's sloping plateau green. With a fairway favouring strategically-placed bunkers, the 18th requires two exceptional shots to find the well-guarded green nestling under the Clubhouse windows. Moortown Golf Club extends a warm welcome to all visitors.
The first-class Clubhouse overlooking the 18th, well stocked pro-shop, free warm-up area and excellent cuisine are further reasons to pay a visit to Moortown Golf Course. Head Chef John Alexander and his team prepare a superb range of hot and cold snacks and meals for the Daily Bar Menu. For something more substantial, lunches and dinners are served in the Dining room. Relax in comfort in the Mixed Lounge, the MacKenzie Room or the Ladies Lounge. The Clubhouse also features a card room, TV Room and a magnificent Billiard Room with two tables.
