Donnington Valley Golf Club together with 4-star Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa are owned by Sir Peter Michael and are part of The Peter Michael Collection.
The Course, re-designed and lengthened between 1998 and 2000, is set in beautiful rolling countryside, and is now a challenging 6,353 yards, 18 hole, par 71 from the back tees. Although some of the holes are quite forgiving the closing four holes are regarded as one of the toughest finishes in the country, with water featuring prominently on 15th, 16th and 17th holes.
The clubhouse, Snelsmore House, a Grade II listed Victorian building, commands magnificent views over the 9th/18th green and offers golfers exceptional golfing and social facilities. There are two bars, the sociable Spike Bar for a welcome break after nine holes or an informal, relaxed environment after your game, and the Oak Room, a traditional oak paneled room for the more formal board meeting or conference.
Separate from the clubhouse, the on-site pro shop is a retail outlet of outstanding quality. With a wide range of golfing clothing and equipment for sale, the option to hire golf buggies and clubs and the indoor practice facility, which allows you to try clubs before you buy, the shop offers golfers everything they need under one roof.

From the M4 West (Swindon/Bath/Bristol): Leave the M4 at junction 13. At the roundabout take the third exit signed for the A34 Newbury. Once you have left the roundabout take the next exit left signed for Donnington/Services. At the roundabout take the second exit right signed for Donnington. At the third roundabout turn left. Follow the road for two miles and Donnington Valley Hotel and Golf Club are located on the right hand side. The Golf Club is first, and then the hotel is 300 yards further on the right.
From the M4 East (London/Reading): Leave the M4 at junction 13. At the roundabout take the first exit signed for the A34 Newbury. Once you have left the roundabout take the next exit left signed for Donnington/Services. At the roundabout take the second exit right signed for Donnington. At the third roundabout turn left. Follow the road for two miles and Donnington Valley Hotel and Golf Club are located on the right hand side. The Golf Club is first, and then the hotel is 300 yards further on the right.
From the A34 Oxford (North): Leave the A34 at the exit signed for the M4 Services. At the roundabout take the immediate left signed for the Donnington/Services. At the roundabout take the second exit right signed for Donnington. At the third roundabout turn left. Follow the road for two miles and Donnington Valley Hotel and Golf Club are located on the right hand side. The Golf Club is first, and then the hotel is 300 yards further on the right.
From the A34 Winchester (South): Follow the A34 northbound towards Newbury. Leave the A34 at the junction with the A4 (signed for Hungerford). At the roundabout take the first exit and at the second roundabout take the second exit. Follow the A4 down to the next roundabout and take the first exit. Follow the road through Donnington village. At the first mini roundabout go straight over and at the second mini roundabout take the second exit. Donnington Valley Hotel is about half a mile on the left hand side and the golf club is 300 meters further on the left.
